Founder's letter

Our birth story...

For the past 10 years as a doula, I've had the privilege of supporting women through the most demanding physical transformation a human body can undergo: pregnancy, birth and postpartum. And I've seen how a seemingly small thing like hydration can have a big impact.

The idea for Pushee was born in delivery rooms with my clients, where I saw what women were being offered for nourishment during labor: highly processed off-brand jello, milk or the occasional lukewarm broth from the cafeteria—not exactly what you want in the middle of a marathon.

Determined for my clients, and now you, to have healthier, more effective options, I spent the last two years formulating with an expert team to create delicious, clean and effective perinatal hydration mixes.

Wherever you are in your journey, we hope you'll take us with you. We'll be cheering you on.

What's in a name?

The name Pushee, a nod to the big moment of pushing, carries a deeper meaning. As a doula, I've witnessed how hard women often have to push to be heard.

To us, get pushee is a call to action:

Our commitment to equity

The maternal health crisis disproportionately affects Black women, with Black women experiencing maternal mortality at three times the rate.

At Pushee, we hold this reality with seriousness and care. We are committed to listening, learning and acknowledging that advocacy does not come with equal safety for everyone.
